______________
In-Person Teaching Program
Our In-Person Teaching Program started in 2016 initially in refugee camps then in various venues on the island of Lesvos in Greece. Volunteers taught refugee populations on the island in a fun, relaxed, and compassionate manner conducive to achievement for our students.
English was the predominant subject taught. Other subjects included math, science, art, music, and special workshops, promoting critical thinking skills. Because all subjects were taught in English, classes were also a vehicle for learning the language.

Girls Empowerment Program

The Girls Empowerment Program for unaccompanied minor girls and adult women started in 2018 on Lesvos to create a safe space for outdoor activities with an emphasis on learning critical life skills.
Through team activities, including swimming and biking, we have empowered girls and women by building self-confidence, developing teamwork and leadership skills, and promoting healthy choices.
